A Former Minister of State For Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has made bold to say he is not on the run from anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The former minister confirmed this in a telephone chat with news agency, PUNCH correspondent.
Obanikoro who has been rumoured to have fled the country in order to evade arrest by the anti-graft agency in connection with the ongoing arms deal probe by the EFCC said in a text: “To begin with, no allegation has been made against me officially that I know of. Therefore, I have no reason to run. I know for sure that all the accusations in the media are in the realm of speculation.”
Recall that just recently, Obanikoro bagged a degree in History from an American University and this further put him in light of speculations concerning his absence from the country especially as speculators had fingered him in connection with the arms probe case.
